i just got a jdm p30 put it in my car and runs like crap. it barley idles and it has a revlimiter of 3500rpms. is it in safe mode or is the computer no good. any suggestions.

has it been chipped? sounds like it has and either the burn is messed up or something to do with the chipping process is messed up.

if it hasn't been chipped then it has to be in limp home mode. check the CELs and go from there.

 

couldnt tell you if its been rechipped or not. but by the looks of it someone been it in. also what are the cels im new to the hole computer thing. i also have a chipped p28 and it works fine but this p30 just doesnt work. we even put it in my friends car and it does something totally different in it. the one thing it does in both cars is the cheak engain lights stays on but i got to code it and nothing happens it wont blink nothing just stays on. is their a way i can tell if its been chipped or not. thanks for you help all is appreciate it. is their a way to take it out of limp mode if its in it.

 

open it up .... then take the 4 screws out of the knock board ... there you will see a 28 pin chip if it has been modded (or if it is an auto ecu)
