Default Need new speakers, have ~$400

My front components have blown in my 95 GSR (they were stock) and i'm looking to get new speakers for the front, no subwoofer and probably won't replace the rear speakers. I have a Pioneer Deck 45x4 watts currently. I was thinking of either the Infinity Perfect 6.1s or the JL Audio XR-650CSi for the front. Everyone recommends a small amp to power those so w/ a small amp will my deck be sufficient? What brand/model amp do you reccomend? I won't need it to power a sub in the future. The speakers are going to run me beteween $250-$285 shipped and I can get installation for free on everything. So i'm looking for reasons to get each speaker and a good amp for them in the $100-$200 range. Thanks. I listen to a lot of techno/trance if that helps.

The JL's sound nice though I have never heard them in an Integra. The Kappas are very nice, although the tweeters won't fill up the tweeter hole on the door (there will be a 1/8" gap somewhere). You can't go wrong either way.

Any two channel amp capable of 100W/channel with a 4 ohm load will serve you well with the speakers. Look for something that goes for 50-70 cents/watt. I've only used Soundstream or PPI amps in my installs so I'm biased towards them.

http://www.elitecaraudio.com (MoST HELPFUL FOR YOU) http://www.termpro.com (NOT AS ELITE...BUT MORE INFO IF YOU CAN FIND IT...EQUALLY GOOD)

Try those sites (forums) for audio

Speakers: Good deal are CDT high definition components...There are many good deals here, such that personal preference plays more weight than anything else...LISTEN TO THEM SOMEWHERE PLEASE>>> The CDT's will sound better than the Infinity Perfects.. If you want a dealer for the CDT's for CHEAP, on Termpro forums...Look or search for a guy with the name of "Ceed" or "Ceed_19" ... He deals them for LOW LOW LOW LOW prices... Check his feedback as well...no complaints.. He's a mod over there... I've never personally dealt with him, but I was referred to him..

AMPS: ArcAudio is good....I dunno...I like ArcAudio (expensive though...get the 2100)

Hope that helped in some way or another...Hope I just didn't get someone addicted to Audio...that would be bad for their finances...

Hmmm...well i've been looking at amps and i'm thinking the Infinity Kappa perfects 6.1 w/ a PPI PCX280 Amp so that's 80watt x 2 at 4 ohms. I have a Pioneer 45x4 watt deck so will this be sufficient? Thanks..

The wattage of the HU doesn't matter since it's the amp that's making the power.

The PCX280 will work good, two of them will work better.

If you're gonna stick the x-overs in the door, get rid of the plastic door support and duct taoe the x-over to the door panel.
