I recently finished converting my first gen b16 to obd1 and the ecu is giving me these two codes. I used a jdm p30 ecu, (new) distributor king distributor, blown90hatches harness, and a universal bosch 02 sensor.
My guess is that i mixed up some wires when i was soldering the obd1 distributor connector on.
Has anyone every encountered this problem when the converted to obd1?
Any ideas where to start?

when i start the car it takes a couple seconds for the code to pop up, it is not constantly on.
How is the dizzy wired? Is the fat white wire connected to the yel/grn wire on the obd 1 dizzy?
I threw codes 8 (tdc sensor) and 20 (eld) when i started my car. I checked all wiring and it was good. Tried another ecu and have been code free since.

check those white wires as suggested. also keep in mind the wiring colors are not the same as OEM on the Distributor King distributors. If you went color to color on the wires you might have some mixed up. You need to double check the actual placement on the pins

yeah the fat white wire is going to the yellow and green wire. I dont think it is the ecu.(the first ecu i tried threw a solid CEL, the one i got now works fine except for these two codes).

just speaking from experience check the wiring on the distributor again and remember that the wire colors from the obd0 harness dont match to the obd1 distibutor. the easy way to solve this is to take both apart and locate the three sensors, match them on the two distibutors instead of just using wire colors.

I took the distributor apart but i couldnt really see what wires went to each sensor.
If anyone has a distributor king distributor and have converted to obd1 then they might be able to help me out because i have all of the wires on my harness matched to the distributor king distributor written down.
My harness = Distributor
Big White = yellow/green stripe
Blue/yellow stripe = Blue/yellow stripe
Blue/green stripe = Blue
White/Blue stripe = White/ blue stripe
Orange/Blue stripe = Peach/blue stripe
Orange = Peach
small white = white
If anyone has done this please give me a hand. (The blue/ yellow stripe wire on my harness goes directly to C1 at the ecu, The Blue/green stripe wire on my harness goes directly to C2 at the ecu.)

Hook it up how I have it above. This is how some distributor king distributors have been wired recently.

for the eld code 20... what eng setup do you have? Did you make sure the wiring was all wired back to stock before you did the 0bd0-1?? That wire is removed when you do a b16a swap, so make sure its back in.

Just got it figured out
, I switched the two wires like Blown90hatch suggested and no codes. Blown90hatch is the man. he has been awesome on helping me through this conversion, i would suggest everyone get a harness through him.
