Spoon Cams vs Toda Spec A's
Cam Specs are as follows according to a topic posted back on October 31st. Proof that I did my search.
STOCK ITR
INTAKE lift - 11.5 mm, duration - 240 @ 1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5 mm, duration - 235 @ 1mm
SPOON
INTAKE lift - 11.53 mm, duration - 256 @ 1mm
EXHAUST lift - 11.13 mm, duration - 245 @ 1mm
TODA Spec A
INTAKE lift - 11.6 mm, duration - 250 @ 1mm
EXHAUST lift - 11.2mm, duration - 240 @ 1mm
I only come to two conclusions with all these numbers
1.) The Spoon's DURATION figures deviate more from the stock ITR cams than the Toda SpecA's.
2.) When it comes to LIFT, the Toda's have the edge over the Spoon.
What does this all mean? I know I know...LIFT is how much the valves, in terms of mm, it goes up and down and DURATION is how long they stay open. What I want to know is, how does LIFT and DURATION individually affect the characteristics and performance of an engine?
EDIT
One more thing. Does anybody have the stats for the non-vtec lobe for the most popular cams? Todas, JUNs, Skunks, stock ITRs, stock CTRs, and Spoon?

I ran the spoon cams on my car, and it hessitated to go into VTEC, i dont know what it was, but i would never run them again, some say it was becasue i did not have enough compression, but when VTEC engaged i took a 15hp dip, it was weird illpost the plot up
what was your vtec set to. rechipped computers are mapped for specific vtec Xovers. if you change the Xover vtec boggs. other than that i would have to say it fuel or air.
it was 5700 rpms, the cams just didnt like my car, thats all i could think of, I had a PTR ecu, and i guess it just realy confliced with the cams
