Definatly on the verge of buying a indash cd/dvd player just wondering how many of you guys out there actually have it installed on a 94-01 teg with out clearance problems with the heater controls? Just want to see some pics

I have tried several. Because mine is an automatic, the shifter gets in the way if you put the screen in the lower din. I have an Eclipse AV5101 flip out. It's in the upper din and clears nicely. BUT, they don't make that one anymore. All the newer ones with the 7" screens, placed in the upper din, will smack into the vents.

 

Well my panasonic touchscreen is in the bottom din right now, so that would definatly be where I would put the new head unit..btw how the clarity on the screen from where your sitting???

 

Not sure if you were talking to me but the monitor is sweet. I can angle it any way I want because the flip up part is not motorized. It is motorized out but not up. I kind of like it that way. There are a million screens out there.

i had some no name 7" tv in my car it was a bitch i put it on the bottom din n it still hit the ac controls also the angle is bad cuz i fu want to see it u have to lean back. you better off getting a ecilpes double din tv.

yep.. Alpine iva-d900 and d-300 will clear. still gotta put em in the lower slot though

i adjusted the brightness so it'll be clear in the front.

The kenwood system, which does not have a fold out screen, but the whole unit itself is a screen, will fit perfectly into the two dins. Looks awsome. Like the screen was made for the integra! Sorry, no pics. I'll ask some of my friends for pics though, and will get them up soon.

 

^^^^That Kenwood unit is pretty damn nice. I was thinking about that one for my daily driver Vic. Great features for the money. It's a little less than some of the other units.

Yes sir, its badass. My friend (eg6hatch)'s brother has the same deck in a maxima. I think its a ddx or dxx, not for sure though. It is touchscreen also. Either way its bad!!

 

yea the alpines and the eclipse units can extend farther out once there flipped out to clear the controls. My alpine works good, and it JUST clears the controls flipped up and tilted back a bit, it actually looks really good like it was meant to be there ;D

 

With that said, i'm buying one. I just have to decide which features i like the best

That won't last very long in any integra parked outside. Sad but true...

 

i took out my ashtray and cig. i had to cut some metal, but now it tilts back a lot which makes it really easy to see.
