Default Good 6 1/2 speakers

My friend owns a saturn sc1 and all the speakers are blown. Shes doesn't want anything super, since the sound system is totally stock, she just wants to be able to hear the music again. What would be a good choice while not spending over $100 for 2 pair.

Thanks

Try this http://www.eclipse-web.com , very good speakers, also remember, it probably was the stock HU that damaged the speakers, very low power, [watts] and will damage whatever new speakers you put in. 94

at that price point do one of two things:

a) go to circuit city, the good guys, tweeter, whatever big box store you have and just take a listen (avoid best buy like the plague) to sets off of a headunit. like it was mentioned above, the shitty factory headunit and someone who doesn't use common sense with the volume **** will blow speakers very easily.

typically something from infinity, kenwood, polk, etc will fit the bill....search for an open box buy if you can

b) go to somewhere like http://www.thezeb.com and just take advantage of one of their specials - a person who blows all the speakers out in their car probably won't be arguing over the sonic differences between two speakers.

I'd go for something that's somewhat brand name and cheap.
