stock sleeves /my setup
Hello fellas, I need some advise before I am spending my hard earned cash,ok this is what I got
b18a block
eagle Hbeam rods
z-10 block girdle
what I dont have is pistons yet because I am unsure wich pistons will satify my goals, goals of this motor being 200whp and 150ish tq. The head will have buddyclubspec+3 cams/gears apropriatly upgraded springs/retainers,mild port by myself just to smooth up the cast flaws and same for the intake manifold(gsr)bored stock tb65mm port matched of course.
For the pistons I want to use the p30(jdm b16),or my other option is a cp piston with the same 11:5.1 compression wich is raised somewhat by the gsr head.Ok the p30's with stock overbore 81.25 or the cp 81.5?
Will the stock sleeves stand up to the 81.5 without being sleeved,I plan to rev to 8100-8300 wichever works out best at the dyno after a tedious break-in,to start a stock p72 ecu and for the tune add a hondata s200 to that.
Will the stock sleeves hold up to that?would a blockgaurd help here or not be needed? What diffference could I expect to see from using the 81.5 piston over the stock bore piston,i think slight increase in bore should be a slight increase in tourque but not worth the extra dollars if the stock piston will hold. thnx for any help and thank you honda for a S***Y rod/ratio.

boring give ~40-45cc per mm. its just not worth w/o having the stronger sleeves. also staying with as little boring as needed keeps it more rebuildable later.
