I looked, a search of post titles of archived content was pretty useful.

i don't think there are any differences between the usdm and jdm exhausts. i know the 98+ jdm header is different, but the exhaust are the same.

btw, the big power getters are the fujitsubo rma-01, spoon n1, t1r, smsp, hytech, etc... do a search and don't ask any details because it's all in the archives.

I have the Kakimoto R, and i thank God that i got a hold of this exhaust not because of its pricey 900 dollar retail tag, but because its the best exhaust ive ever had. I would recommend this exhaust to anyone. During normal driving the exhaust is quiet, the only noise you hear is a low key tone. In WOT, with my b18c vtec sounds lovely with the 2.5 outlet with a 4 inch toner around the tip..... hope u find one

if you paid anywhere NEAR that much for a kakimoto R, you got ripped off bad. I'm sorry alot of people don't know that the kakimoto exhaust systems are very cheap and make beautiful sounding exhausts. I'm making 191whp with stock cams with a kakimoto n1r. Picked up the setup BRAND new for $680usd.

I actually got a really good deal for my KakimotoR. It was bought from a local importer shop for 275 bucks. I mentioned 900 bucks being retail, thats the price I have found for this exhaust system on some sites. The best price I found recently from http://horsepowerfreaks.com/ is 650 plus shipping anyhow sweet exhaust like you say how does the N1 kakimoto sound?

The Kakimoto cat back Exhaust i'm getting has a 2.25 diameter and i'm not sure what is the name for it but i'm afraid it will cause a bottleneck.

I have a 98 spec ITR Engine and the JDM header is 2.5" i believe and if it goes into a 2.25" catback, would that be bad?

I push 295 WHP through a 2" downpipe and test pipe, and ~2.25 Tanabe Racing Medallion catback.

Your mileage may vary.

2.25" is fine for n/a... the restriction will be the chambered muffler, not much you can do unless you go straight through.

Anybody running a J's Racing titanium exhaust on their R? I'm curious since I might buy one.

I'm not but I've heard it.

It's light and extremely loud, header back without a cat. I'd never have that as a street exhaust.

But why ask about the J's when this post is about Kakimoto and stock?
