Paint comming off!?!?
If you look at the pictures, you can see the white that is comming through. WTF is that? Is the paint comming off? The car was detailed after having the emblems put back on. Did the body shop polish the hell out of the car!? Or is the paint just crap? Here are the pictures:

the pictures you have up there look like they buffed the hell out of the paint with a hi speed orbiter and didnt pay attention to the corners, thus, removing the already thin honda paint.
Is that metal I spy?

Yeah, I bet that is what they did. Looks like they buffed it down to the primer.
It's a great shop, so I have faith they will take care of things to make them right (hopefully...).

I was talking with Onyx the other night as well about the PY paint that I've seen on local R's... it seems to "buff off" when drying after a wash. The towels actually get a yellow sheen to them.
Does anyone else notice this as well with the PY? I thought at first that this was what was happening to his car.

I know exactly what you are talking about. If you rub an area with a little elbow grease you almost start taking the paint off.

What does it cost to get a car resprayed? Can't be cheap

that just means that your car doesn't have a clear coat... nothing to worry about
I've never personally detailed a PY R so I can't verify whether they have clear coats or not.

I had my PY ITR resprayed PPG Indy Racing yellow. It cost 2700, took half a year, and I did all the wet-sanding and almost all the stripping. Its a huge task if you want to do it right, ie spray the doorjambs etc. And if you really want it perfect you need to pull the engine and put it back in, which would be at least another $500.
its called oxidation... you want to take all of that off.... under that stuff is were the good paint still lies...
get a clay bar and it will take the oxidation right out.
