Best place to put alarm brain in a teg?
what kinda alarm is it? the size of the brain helps out. i usualy mount them as high up as i can. i sometime can fix it to an existing control unit like abs computer or some other module that would make it look kinda stock.
When you do figure a place to put it, for your own safety please keep it to yourself. There are too many cars being ripped off you should not discussing any details of your security system. You never know who might be reading.

do not put it under the drivers side dash. Put it under the middle dash, pass. side dash, under a seat, etc. Use black wire sheath and electrical tape to make it look OEM. The thing to really hide is your relays for fuel cut, starter kill, etc. Dont worry too much about brain placement, just make sure it is decently hidden and the wires look as stock as possible. Dont think a well hidden alarm will save you either. The thing to worry about is making sure a thief cannot touch the car without your knowledge. This means you must use a hoodlock, hood pin with the alarm, and possibly a pager. You could install the brain on top of the dash, in plain sight(dont) and it would be ok if your pager/alarm goes off and you come running as soon as someone toughts the car. I am sure you get my point. it is not just the placement of the alarm alone, it is just one device. Use multiple layers of security and remember that the alarm is useless if a thief can pop the hood and get to the battery or if you are not alerted when the vehicle's security is compromised.

Stick it up your ***!!! They'll never find it!!!
On the serious side, ,find a nice tucked away place that is hard to get to, and even harder to see from under the dash anywhere (driver or passenger)
Consider doing the unthinkable, be creative when deciding to put it in.

Has anyone considered remote placement? It would require extending all the wires a bit- but I imagine putting it someplace like inside the rear seat would be pretty hard to find. All the wiring could be run inside the center tunnel or inside the molding?
the problem is, if your alarm is using your horn, vs its own horn, the integra horn wires can easily be cut from the front, without getting uder the hood.... then that means even if your alarm is going off, noone will hear it!!!

exactly.but thats why you have to get loud *** airhorns and a hood lock so the horns are blasin, and the scumbag thiefs won't be able to stop it,atleast after a couple minutes off loud *** racket.I hate scumbag car thiefs, they all deserve to be shot point blank.
Put the brain under the passenger seat . If you have extra cash run an additional siren under dash were it cannot be easily reached. Also a battery back up wont hurt
