Apexi power intake?
Ok i am extremely interested in the Apexi power intake for when i finally get my car, but on the website it lists the price as $188. Can someone please tell me if that is the price of the filter and the tubing also. If thats the price of the filter alone im just gonna forget about it. check it out here http://www.apexi-usa.com It seems like this is the best intake you can buy. What do you guys think.
THIS IS NOT A "WHICH INTAKE IS THE BEST POST" so dont tell me to search. haha

I was considering using just the Apexi filter rather than the K&N but decided not to because it was so expensive. I've also wondered if the price included the tubing or not.
yea that was another option, ive heard so many great things about the ice box. But yet i love the sound of the AEM or any other open element air filter. Eh if it gets me more horsepower then screw how it sounds. I just figured that i could get the best of both worlds with the APEXi. With its good hp gain across the charts and the sound (yea yea i know kinda rice style caring how it sounds, but its just so nice). If the filther costs that much without the tubing im definitly gonna rule that out. Thanks

No actually, I think it is nothing but the filter you pay for. I think it goes on the stock tubing, but not sure. Every pic I have ever seen of it, it never shows the tube so I am guessing it does not have one. I was thinking of putting it on my AEM CAI, but it will get too dirty. Thought obout putting a shot ram AEM tube and using the Apexi intake as well.
My buddy with a 97' SE-R bought a HKS intake and was pissed when he got it and it was just a filter and paid $200 for it.

What interests me the most about the Apex-i filter is that it is a reuseable dry filter...
meaning, all you gotta do is wash it and let it dry, then it's ready for re-use....
no oiling required...I read the filter review on some GTR website, it ended up filtering the best compared to HKS, K&N, and other filters (K&N came second). It also gained the most HP (K&N also came second for here too) from this filter but that was on a turbo-charged car. The HKS had the worst filtering properties.

K&N (reliable, re-useable, affordable)
