Hmm..how about too much?

B20Z: $1350
ITR header: $400
CAI: $50
Cams/springs/retainers: $700
Skunk2 manifold: $300
Chipped ECU: $200
Bottom end rebuild (pistons, rods, girdle, all new bearings and seals): $1800
Flywheel: $300
Clutch: $300
SAFC: $300

Hrm, I think that was it engine wise. The exhaust and short ram intake came with the car. So thats $5700 of my hard earned money
Also that doesnt include things that needed replacment such as another new clutch, or teh B18B that blew up, etc etc.

Oh yea and now Im going VTEC so add another $1400-$1500 pn top of that...but I did sell about $1200 worth of non-VTEC stuff off the engine so its only $200-$300 out of pocket.

Exactly, but while we are adding those mods up.. seems like alot of people could have a turbo or supercharger..

I was just trying to get a feel for what people have spent their money on... I'm curious as to who spent what for how fast they are... based on mods/cost per hp.
I know that a turbo / sc gives more bang for the dollar... so if i look at how much the average person spends and what they spend it on...

it's more of a personal experiment/information gathering thing.. when you ask this question, you get better responses than when you ask... "all motor or turbo" type things... this seems more unbiased in the replies...

thanks, I'm still conducting a personal info gathering thing...

I've dropped over $5k in the car so far. That includes CTR cams, Skunk cam gears, Skunk sway bar, various suspension components, VAFC, R tranny, R flywheel, tuning and so on. I did 90-95% of the installs myself or with a friend.
