I've heard from a lot of people that running synthetic in VTEC engines makes them burn oil. I don't know first hand, but I just chose Castrol 5W30. Can't go wrong with Castrol!

Once you use synthetic, you can't go back to conventional...If your engine is burning oil, bump the weight up a bit...use 10W or 15W oils...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Keep using what your using 0w-30 Syntec from autozone is also a good oil, and a bit thicker than 5w-30 mobil 1.

Actually I have heard the opposite, I have heard some people say what your supposed to do is switch between synthetic and non-synthetic between oil changes, like for 3000 miles use synthetic, then change to non-synthetic, something about how the detergent in synthetic oils condition for the 3000 miles, then you switch to the non-syn and it still has a high threshold of protection. there is a site http://www.bobistheoilguy.com, check it out, very informative about oil.
