My check engine light turned on the other day and this is my error code:

Catalyst system Efficiency Below Threshold malfunctioning or defective catalyst system

I assume I need a new cat and I don't wanna pay the dealer price, so if anyone's got one in good shape and willing to sell, please let me know. Thanks.

My car = 2001 IT-R w/ 70,000 miles

 

Cat Converters are covered for 80/80,000 miles on Hondas so expect that or more for Acuras. Visit your Acura Dealer for a free Cat.

Honda will replace the cat for free with your mileage. Im not so fortunate, im at 96,000 in my Si and i grabbed a car sound cat. Hope it does not crap out on me like i hear oh so many tell.
