Default Oil light stays on

Hey i was going up a small hill, driving easy and all of a sudden the motor made some sound, it happened to fast for me to remember but anyways the oil light stays on now. Does this for sure mean that i need to take my pan off and get a new oil pump? I doubt its the sending unit because I heard a sound like something broke. Thanks

If your oil light is coming on, do not drive it anymore until you check your oil pressure.

I am guessing that your oil pump went bad.

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR!!!!! You ruined/broke the oil pump. DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR.!!!
1. Get a helms manual
2. Start in the oil/lube section
3. It will tell you everything you need to know to install a new one.

If I'm not mistaken, it is timing belt or balancer shaft belt driven so good luck with that ****. I don't think the oil pump is in the pan

I didnt drive it, i pulled over and had it towed.

So to change it i wont need to take off the oil pan? Just the lower timing covers? If I dont have to take the pan off it will save a lot of time and some money. Thanks

Im buying a helms so i can do this myself because otherwise i will have to sell both of my legs haha.

it is a pretty big job, you will have to take out the oil pan and timing cover to get to it
