ARE AIR/FUEL RATIO GAUGES REALY ACCURATE?
I installed one but i do think im getting the right reading and im not going to lean it out just based on this gauge. The gauge reads 2-3 greens lights when idol, then 3-4 greens when wop. Is this right or is my o2 sensor done??? The guage dosnt pulse at all like i hear it should do. I go instructions but jsut wanted to know what you guys think?
thanks

yea ... there jus another flashing LED .... IMO... unless you have a what i thought was called a "Wideband O2" meter ... for acurate tuning...
with your stock o2 sensor, it might as well be a light bulb. because thats all it reads, on or off. it only reads rich, or not rich. there is no inbetween..

ha....mine stays in the green when i'm driving and when i start to slow down to come to a complete stop, it goes to the red section. don't go by what this type of guage reads.

its suppose to do that because you let off the gas....

first make sure you have your purple wire from the guage hooked up to the right wire off the O2 sensor. it should be the white wire or signal high wire. i don't know what your car has OBD 1 or OBD 2 but it should be hooked up on the first O2 sensor that the exhuast gasses will hit first in this case it should be on the header.

Why is that? explain.
