Default y7 mini me to y8 what do i need to buy ?

i want to switch my 98 dx with d16y7 into a d16y8 mini me vtec head and intake manifold coversion what do i need to buy i know the intake manifold and vtec head but what else ? and could someone send me or show me a write up how to do it

don't spend money on an ECU like i did... for some reason Honda decided to wire the d16y7 as if it was an automatic for some reason... your going to have to use a Vtec controller for the Vtec to pop... it would be best to set it between 4800 and 5200... as for what other stuff to get... everything else should be reusable...

The d16y8 ecu will work just fine. You just have to run wires from the vtec oil pressure and vtec solenoid through the firewall to the ecu. Or you can just get the whole harness.

never heard of "poping Vtec"

that ECU won't work because the D16Y7 doesn't have a knock and crnk sensor... your going to have to keep the stock ECU and get a Vtec controller... thats what i did after 4 days trying to figure out all the gliches
