my friend just got his b20vtec back from like a month break cuz of his crash and he got it back today and his idle keeps going from 1100-1600. does any one know whats can be the problem? thanks

 

maybe clean your IACV and reset your ECU?

 

if it has a fast idle valve located underneath the t-body, there are 2 8mm bolts that hold on a copper colored plate, remove plate and inside you will find a large white plastic screw with a brass nipple in the middle of it . this screw can become loose over time. turn the screw clockwise all the way in. this should take care of the "surging idle"

 

thanks guys? but if i keep it like this for now since i have no time to fix is this gonna mess with my performance? does this do damage to the engine?

 

Are u running a catch can with a pcv valve? My car does the smae thing when the valve is removed
