* Automatic JDM GSR Swap - Any Information??
Doing a JDM GSR Automatic swap into an EK Auto civic. - Can someone please correct me and add on to my list below? Thanks!
What I have:
- USDM 'B' Series long block
- JDM GSR AUTO tranny
- JDM GSR AUTO ecu
Going into:
- EK Auto CIVIC
1.) Is there any extra wiring I need to do? Extra plugs I need?
2.) Will the Auto tranny mount from an Auto Integra work? What would I need for this tranny going into a Civic?
3.) Anything else I need??
THanks in advance...

Sorry I have no idea...... but I am interested to see how that (JDM GSR AUTO tranny) performs compared to a LS auto tranny?
Good luck with the swap

chirpin_3rd: Why you ask?...."Why not? Why did they do it in Japan? Why, would it be weird to have an Auto B series?"
JASON77: "For sure..I'll keep you all posted.......especially with the JDM GSR ecu, at WOT it should do it's thing....never know till' you try eh? I'll let you know, I'm curious myself lol.."
dFreezy: "I'll keep ya posted..."
dcb16: Why auto?..."The EK is already an Automatic and I happened to come acrossed a JDM GSR AUTO w/ ECU...I'm thinking what the heck....it'll definitely be different...."

again, i think it's pretty cool that your trying to do something different, but i have an article about this kid who has done the same thing. this was in an issue of sport compact car i believe, he was handicapped so all he could drive was auto, but the fact is, the honda b series torque converters on the auto trannys just cant handle that much power. This kid put on a turbo or an SC, not really sure which one, but i remember him having problems. I guess if your planning NA, then that wont be a problem, but I'm just giving you a a heads up.

I thought it would be different from the LS auto tranny in that it was designed (geared) from the factory for the GSR engine as opposed to the LS engine, same way as the LS manual tranny is different from the GSR tranny?
b18c3 (don't hate) ??? I wasn't putting down the guy I was actually interested in his Idea?
vtec4life thanks I will look forward to hearing how this idea comes out.......

Its a simple swap. Just find the correct mounts for it. For the swap I did it was a jdm b16 auto swap into a auto EG. Only thing was extend some of the engine harness so it'll reach. Since JDM its RHD the wiring is opposite.
I'm not saying I know because I don't, but there has been people mention maybe doing this swap before and usually most people say that the "JDM GSR" auto tranny is the same tranny as any USDM LS auto. Again, I don't know just giving you a heads up. I do know your damn lucky to have found a auto GSR ECU.
