Default Still Vibrating CRX

I have this vibrating sound coming from what sounds like the front passenger side of my car. It only happens at 10 mph increments starting at 5, then 15, then 25, and 35. It only happens when the transmission is engaged at those exact speeds. So if I'm cruising at say 35 mph, i get this nasty vibrating sound until i either accelerate or slow from that speed, I have no clue what it is. I got my car on the lift when I replaced my rear DS strut and saw that the P/S CV closest to the tranny had a small leak in it because of a thin line of CV grease splattered against the side of my tranny. Could this be the problem or should I look elsewhere?

I would guess that the cv joint is your problem. Try grabbing the shaft and wiggling it. If it wiggles, it is bad. Usually when the grease goes away the cv doesn't last too much longer. Good luck...

I have the same problem too. More like a rattling noise of a loose panel. Mine rattles a 3k rpm. I haven't really put any time in diagnosing it but I have a cracked windshield which might be the problem. It was worse until I switched to HAS mounts. Oh, 90 si hatch with swap.

I don't think its your CV joint/axle. Look else where.

bent wheel or out of balance tire maybe? I had that problem in my Jeep, when I got to about 55mph it would vibrate the **** out of the front end. Turned out the drivers side front tire was out of balance.

I'm getting a slight vibration in my crx right now but i'm fairly sure its a bent wheel.

It only happens at certain speeds and when the tranny is in gear, doesnt matter the RPM.
