I got a really good deal for a DC 4-1 race header but.......
two pipes are bent down low (the guy hit a curb), he said if i take it to a welder, he can cut out the bent portions and reweld it tig style........any ideas on how this would effect performance?
its only 6 months old, i've seen it and besides the dents, its in great condition, he only wants $75 CAD, thats y i'm considering it

i dont think its worth the trouble. First off the header itself is not the great to begin with. is this the titanium model by any chance?
Unless they are really bent up, I wouldn't think it would be worth investing the $$ to get them fixed... small dents in the bottom really won't restrict flow too much anyway. For $75 can though they sound like a really good deal!
.....well you don't have much to lose ($75 cad worst case scenario).
But remember that dc's quality is poor. I've *heard* that you can't even fix their headers because of the poor quality... Something about trying to weld something so fragile and cheap... Take it to the welder and see!

I would buy it and then make it into a 2.5" collector like the JDM version, its only CAD$75, cant even buy Ractive with that kind of money
