MUGEN air cleaner box for DC2 with A/C system
Hello everybody
I am a french new member, so I would like to apologise for my bad english first :-)
I bouhgt one month ago the MUGEn Air cleaner bow for ITR DC2, but thing that I did not know, is it does not fit in DC2 with air conditionning system !!!
Has anybody tried to remove the 2 tubes under the box, or changed them ?
The best solution would be to remove the entire system but I want to avoid this...
I need some HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Thanks guys for your kind understanding
J.

I believe you have to spread the 2 ac lines apart to fit it in... there are some posts around here if you search.
Most also contain pictures as well. I hope this helps.

yes splitting those two tubes apart is going to be a pain, but make sure you dont bend it too far where you damage your ac lines. Also you might want to be sure when you set the ac lines apart that it isn't rubbing on anything. welcome to the board...

It's easy. I did it.

You don't really bend. You just zip tie one to the leftmost primary of the header, and the other to the SRS mount. Then you put the Mugen Intake in, put some double sided tape or something to prevent the A/C lines/bolts from rubbing on the intake, and viola, you are done.
You really don't have to 'bend', just force them out of the way for a short period of time, they'll adjust to their new positions without much trouble.

Good point. I mentioned that above. You have three areas to be concerned with: one where each A/C line will push/rub/sit on the intake (so that's 2 so far), and one where the wiring harness plug is for the SRS. It sits awfully close to the airbox top. Double sided tape would work best for this, or wrap the A/C lines with a towel or something like that.
