Default swapping parts from a 90-91 distributor to a 92-93.

Most of the teeth on the gear inside the distributor of my 93 integra LS are busted off. I was wondering if I can swap out all the electronics on my 93 to the 91 I have laying around. Or even swap out that gear in the 91 into my 93.
Sorry if this is confusing or stupid, I am just really tired of working on my car and spending money on stuff I dont need.

well I ended up taking your advice and the distributor I got from Distributor King does not give me the same amount of adjustability as my oem and now my timing is off.
