Default identyfying a distributor on LS

I have a 92 B18A1. I need to change my cap and rotor. Well I went to 2 auto parts store and they gave me the same caps that dont work on my distributor. How can I tell what distributor I have to raplace what I need. Or what distributor is compatible with my motor. I bought the crx with the swap already done...thats why I dont know.
