why do people buy two wheels at a time, AND put them in the back?

Hey guys, i'm new to this forum and have always wondered the following: I often see people with just a pair of aftermarket wheels, and almost everytime, they are on the rear of the car. This doesn't make any sense to me, because most of these cars I see are front drive. I'd think that if someone got nice wheels, they'd match them with nice grippy tires, in which case, their car would understeer even more. That's the handling aspect. The drag racing aspect is, you should put the nicer, grippier, and (hopefully) lighter aftermarket wheels in the front, where traction is a major issue. I'm sure there's a good reason why about 90% of the people I see put their rims on the back... I just can't figure it out. Anybody know?
To give the illusion that u have a set of slicks for the front but you're not waisting them for the street
fwd cars with stocks takes less power to rotate than heavy rims. People that I know usually do have all rims, but tend to run this way on the track.
They do it cuz they like to pretend that they have Bogarts with M&H 13*22-9 slicks for they times that they can't get traction, they normally have an intake, lots of stickers, and an annoying exhaust. Just don't try to race them cuz their car is probably hella fast (Riceboys). j/k laterz
