have a situation
kinda you have to know your car and shift points. start in d3 or d4 (your choice) when its about to shift to second gear slam it to 2 and when it is ready to shift again up it to d3 not too good on tranny but it will let you run 2nd gear and 3rd gear out to redline

Because your holding the transmission out longer than you need to when it does that. When you floor it, the ECU reads that and shifts at max power...why drag it out longer if you stop making power? And like you even said it's not good for the transmission.

Clutches are $300 to replace...automatic transmissions are about five times that.

and the worst part about this is, the transmission is taking a beating and in the end, you still lose.

MANG he's right! I would suggest an after market tourque converter and a tune.

We are talking about Hondas, for the most part, stock for stock, they ALL do. Peaks start at 4,500 RPM +. We are not talking about Turbo Diesels peaking 1,000 ft-lbs. at 1,800 RPM.
