i have some permatex silicone adhesive, is this the same as hondabond?

i read some old archive where people said hondabond = permatex grey.
But I have permatex silicone adhesive....hence the question.

I checked the dealers for Hondabond, and it was like 17 bucks for it.

Permatex is like 4

Here in Canada the dealers give out the Permatex Grey rather than the Hondabond. I'd figure it's the same or almost the same. Get what ever is cheaper.

Ive used the ultra gray before on oil pans.

So weve come to the conclusion that this is indeed "honda bond"?

this question comes at a good time so when i put my engine back together i can use it.
