How can tell if it is a real jdm itr motor?
I'm going to go look at a car this weekend, and the seller says it has a jdm itr motor. I'll be honest, I own a prelude so I can use some help here. Is the block code the same as a jdm gsr, B18C? How can I tell if it is a itr and not just a gsr with a new valve cover? what about the tranny code? Anything else I can look for?
pics would be nice if you got some,
Thanks

I did but didn't find much, for example:
B18C- isn't that the same as the jdm gsr block? Thats what I found in the searches
Intake manifold- Something like it could be a b16 head, or a skunk2 manifold
And where do I find the lsd stamp, and what would it say?

the tranny should be stamped J4D LSD for all U. S. and 96-97 spec jdm ITR motors and N3E LSD for all JDM 98-00 ITR motors.
Check the block to make sure it says B18C only! NOT B18C5
Also check the head to see the date of it's production(those clock looking things) and make sure the head is stamped PR-3

Can you guys tell me where to find the stampings? Specifically the PR-3 and the J4D LSD/N3E LSD ones.
Here's a pic he sent me, no green paint, but that could have been steamed off or something... Can you guys tell anything by this pic?

PR3 would be below the M on the valve cover and towards the tranny.
the LSD stamp should be on the front of the tranny case, to the left of were the VIN plate wholes are
at least thats how it is on mine
