white smoker
i recently put new gaskets on my sparkplugs/valvecover area because oil was getting in them.Chould this be the problem to why my car's exhaust is puffing the white smoke?
Sometimes people mistake blue smoke for white smoke. Water and antifreeze passing white smoke would probably contain steam. Steam is wet. (after the engine warms up) Hold a piece of paper behind the tailpipe while it's running and see if it gets a little damp.
Black smoke is fuel
Blue smoke is oil (it looks almost grey/white)
White smoke is usually some type of water or condensation.
what does it smell like?

is the car running crappy, chugging or anything? radiator hoses feel like they have lots of pressure? radiator glugging at pretty regular intervals? headgaskets can let go progressively and the car can run pretty well.
try a compression test and check for droplets of water or excess oil on the sparkplugs
