Boston FX6-H or JL VR600-CSi or ???
Okay, I've done way too much searching and reading about front speakers for my 98 accord.
I've decided that I want to do as little work as possible. Mostly because I don't have the time/inclination/tools. So, I'm settling for speakers that just drop in.
The Boston FX6-H is advertised as dropping right in... It's a standard coax.
The JL VR600-CSi is advertised as dropping right in... It's a component set that will require extra work to mount the x-over/tweeter, and run wires.
Unless someone can tell me about some specific models that drop right in without doing any modifications other than cutting the stock basket, these are my choices. I was very close to ordering the Phoenix Gold Octane-R 6.0 components, but I don't know if they will fit, and similarly, I considered the Phoenix Gold R6.0 Coax.
Can anyone help me decide between the two I've narrowed it down to, or give me specific examples of models that drop right in?
Thanks.

I went into the audio shop looking to get the FX6-Hs but got upsold on the NX67s . . . also a drop in.
If you think you might amp the speakers with something other then head-unit power, I'd go for the NXs or a higher model. If you're just using the head unit, the FXs will do just fine.

Kicker amp already installed and powering the all stock speakers, and two 10" kickers in sealed enclosure...
I'll look into the NX67s, thanks for the tip. Can you confirm that they actually drop in? The Boston web page calls them 6.5" whereas the FX are called 6".
Anyone else have ideas?
Thanks.

I installed them in the doors of my 90 CRX. They came with spacers and fit in.
If I had a picture of them installed, I'd post it, but I don't.
