Ok I bought some 6 1/2 JL audio components for my 94 teg, my problem is that the ones in the front are 5 1/2 is there a way to make em fit? Also anyone know how to get to the speakers in the back? The grill that pops off dont give enought room to work with. Thanks in advance for any help.

 

Gotta take off hte paneling to get to that back speaker. And I thought, nearly 100% sure, that the front speakers are 6.5" unless they changed specs for the front speakers for the 98+ tegs.

 

Yeah I think thats when they changed them. Oh well im sure i can just drill holes for it to screw in you guys think that would work?

 

I had to get some help putting in the back speaker of my 95. Have one person pull the plastic open while u slide them in at an angle. It takes some time but it is well worth it! Good luck!

 

so will a 6.5" speaker fit in my 96 door perfectly, just as though it was stock?
