Default all motor b16 v.s. all motor ls/vtec (race motor)

i was wondering what you guys would do. i have all the parts to do either one.
here is a run down of the parts i have
b16 and b18b block
endyen 13.5-1 81.5mm pistons eagle rods(rods are ls spec but i can order more)
p-n-p b16 head all stock (will buy cams when bottom end is decided)
99 si tranny
the motor will be race only but i do want it to last for a little while i know the ls/vtec has its probs, ive already blown one. i just dont want to sacrifice to much power by going with the b16.
is there any thing i can do by switching the cranks?
thanks for any info

well, if you switch the ls crank into the b16 you gonna need custom raised height pin pistons. you wont be able to use your current pistons unless you use shorter rods wich you dont want to do.
your pistons are rated at 13.5 in what engine? whats the cc's on them?

ls/vtec.

balance and micropolish your LS crank.
you already have EAGLE LS rods and pistons fit onto the rods.
99si tranny is great, add LSD if you have the cash.

rip the ls/vtec and use the b16 as a backup..
