I put a new thermostat in my old eg coupe but it was soo long ago! I have a 92 cx hatch with a gsr motor and im gonna put a new thermostat in it friday. im wondering where it is. any pics?
umm it should be in pretty much the same place dude just trace your coolant hose from the radiator back to the thermostat housing..
1.put hand on upper rad hose
2.slide your hand down the long black shaft
3.when your hand hits the end remove the shaft.
4.unscrew the metal housing
5.remove and replace the thermistat.

umm. the thermostat/housing is on the engine of the lower radiator hose. don't forget to change the gasket for it too.
