warn up shifting

Default warn up shifting

at what rpm's do you guys shift at in the cold mornings to warn up your R's? i try to shift under 4k in 1st and 2nd and under 3k for 3-5th gear. what is safest?

That's what I do but if I'm running later ill keep it under 3k until warm.

Hmmm when it's cold try to shift around 3K. Thats what I was told by my friend with an R.

Somehow, when its cold, I think the sound of the engine is different..
so I never take it above 3.5K rpm...
(just to be safe)..
the sound of the valves is just funny when the engine is cold IMHO...

I never really thought about it, but I go pretty easy when it's cold... all the

engine tolerances are correct at a normal operating temp... SO... If the motor

is cold that's like a BAD time to run it on the edge...

i took it to redline before when it was semi cold....and the thing didn't go into VTEC
felt really funny didn't get that surge of and sound of it...

but it was probably freezin cold...i was thinking it was still hot after i finished eating....
