warn up shifting
at what rpm's do you guys shift at in the cold mornings to warn up your R's? i try to shift under 4k in 1st and 2nd and under 3k for 3-5th gear. what is safest?
quote: just start the car, let it warm up for 1-2 minutes on a cold cold day and
then drive outside of vtec range until car is warm! works for me.
That's what I do but if I'm running later ill keep it under 3k until warm.

Somehow, when its cold, I think the sound of the engine is different..
so I never take it above 3.5K rpm...
(just to be safe)..
the sound of the valves is just funny when the engine is cold IMHO...

I never really thought about it, but I go pretty easy when it's cold... all the
engine tolerances are correct at a normal operating temp... SO... If the motor
is cold that's like a BAD time to run it on the edge...
i took it to redline before when it was semi cold....and the thing didn't go into VTEC
felt really funny didn't get that surge of and sound of it...
but it was probably freezin cold...i was thinking it was still hot after i finished eating....
