Cold weather problems
I was just wondering if cold weather here in MN was causing these problems...
First of all, it was -13* today...
When I started the car, there was a "buzzing" noise
And my 1-2 shift, and 2-3 shift kind of had a grinding in it, but more like I could feel the gear engaging, and the stick kind of stopped, but then went into gear.
The problem goes away after the car warms up, so I guess what I am really asking is why it does this..
Thanks!!!

yea, once the fluid in the tranny warms up, it shifts smoother. also, the squealing noise, it's the belts probably, pretty commmon in cold weather.

Re: Cold weather problems (tominos)
ok, that makes me feel a lot better, b/c every who says that there tranny grinds on the 2-3 shift has to replace synchros and ****, which is something i would rather not do.
Thanks!!
BTW, I think the sound is comng from my clutch/flywheel, not the belts. IT isnt sqweaking, but it is more of a buzzing sound.
