ok for the last 2 days there has been a sqeeling from my crank pully. only at idle tho. now today the is a vibration from 3k-4k rpms. what could the problem be. and how can i fix it? thanx

check all your belts including timing belt. make sure the crank bolt is tight. i actually had the crank pulley come off on me one time and the timing belt chewed thru the cover and was very close to completely coming off before i stopped

 

i was thinking a belt the alternator belt is fine and the pulley itself doesnt move around so that looks good but i will check again. how do i take the timing belt cover off? should i just take the top part off and see if its tight or what? also i have a valve cover that has the timing belt cover part cut off. should i put taht on start it up and see what happens?

you can just take the plastic timing cover off and check the belt. your tensioner may be bad
