endyn rollerwave pistons
who has experience with these and can i just bolt them on a stock type R w/o any fuel adjustments? while im changing the pistons should i change out the valve springs or retainers for the hell of it?
HAha....sorry...
bolt them on.....
wish it was as easy as you stated....though it's not that much harder....
Anybody here? They offer standard bore now too don't they?
if it's all apart, and you have the means, get retainers and valveseals done ....but that ofcourse could vary with mileage and use.....

the only reason you would need to upgrade valvetrain is if you were installing higher lift cams or plan on running your engine past the factory redline. Installing rollerwave pistons would not require any additional modifications. From the way it sounds..you won't be the one installing the pistons, so ask your mechanic lots of questions and maybe even watch him doing the work. You can learn a lot this way.
incorrect info...........
what if new cams had same total lift, but higher ramp angle?
You would need stronger springs to maintain full contact.
Just a V8 point of view.
