Default RPM's To High!!!

Ok check this out i turn on my car right then once i let it heat up the rpm's is to high its right above 2,000 so i started to messed with that little screw right on the throttle body well all i know if u move it backwards the rpms goes up and if moved forward the rpm's lowered well the screw is moved all the way forward and it cant go no further and the rpms is still up, has anyone had this problem and on how to fix this matter any suggestions help!!!!!!!!

Are you throwing any codes?

Maybe it's your throttle cable. The idle adjustment screw only adjusts it a little. If it idles at 2Krpm when it's warm, the screw won't help. You have to look somewhere else.

Have you modified the car? Did you do anything before you noticed the high idle? Are you sure the car is fully warmed up? Is the water temp needle near the middle (or wherever the warmed up postion is)?

i had that problem once. my throttle cable was shreadding inside the rubber boot. the wires got hung up inside the boot and was holding the cable back

It sounds like you got a bad IAC valve, take your intake off and stick your thumb over the hole you see on the back side of the tb opening(firewall side) and if your idle drops then you found your problem.

ya check your ecu ... i had almost the same prob. had everything changed but ecu and still did it , so i got a hondata s2 and salved my prob.

well ya i put my thumb on that whatever lol then it drop so i went thre 3 diff throttle boyd did not work same thing then i put in a gsr one an boom it work not only that my ecu code waz off i think it waz numbber 7 code i also chang my ecu computer and put in a si one and now it halls asssssssss thanx ya for ya info it HELP ALOT!!!!! ya guys rock.
