On my 4th gen, I had to take the door panel off. Not difficult to do. Just take your time with the and pop the panel off slowly and evenly.

Definetaly be careful with the window switches.......moreso when you are putting the panel back on then when taking it off......it is sometimes diffucult to make them fit right, but take your time and you will eventually get it.

1st, pop off the triangular piece where the mirror attaches (flat head screwdriver works good). Then remove 4 (?) screws (1-behind the door handle, 1-down in the recess in the arm rest, 1- top part of front of panel, and 1- lower part of back of panel. then there is a gap running between the panel and door along the bottom, go to one end of that and just give it a sharp/but brief tug, should start to pop loose. work your way around popping out all the fasteners, then lift up so it slides out of the window well. Just take your time, and remeber (its meant to come apart so if it really doesnt want to, theres probably a step you missed)

You don't have to pull the triangular piece to remove the door panel.

Like stated before, be careful with the window switches.
It can be tricky removing the panel around the handle
where the switch is.

there is only one panel, you remove it to gain access to the speaker screws
