if its the same as the 92 civic then just take it off, unplug it at your radio, then slide the whole mess out. you need one of those funny shaped tools. is it called torx head?

if you are putting another one in make sure you tie a string to end inside car BEFORE you pull it up or you will never get it back in there

You can get it back in there it'll just take you a little longer with a lot more wiggling and playing with the cable to get it through the "A" pillar.
