Throttle Body Gasket. Can I just silicone the outside edge?
I ******* searched today, 4 stores. Not one place had a ******* gasket for a Crx
I dunno, think other years will fit to correct? But whatever. Ive got some spare blue gasket silicone type **** here and I want to know if I can use that only?
Also Ive never seen a t/b gasket before, is it just a square going only around the outside with the bolt holes cut out or does it go into all the little contours n ****?
What would I have to silicone
Thanks

You can do that or you can use hi-temp rtv silicone gasket maker (hondabond).

You have to get it at the dealer.
I would not recomend honda bond or anything like that. The MAP passage needs to be sealed right and I don't think you can do it with H-B type of product.

it's moronic to use RTV when a paper gasket that costs maybe a couple of bucks more will do the job right.
Get the damn gasket. Your Honda dealer sells it for sure, it will work the way it was designed to work and that's the end of it.

ok, i'll get a gasket. I have an aftermarket tb. Didn't know if the honda gasket would work. I'll get some gasket material and fix it.
