PR3 ECU SPECS!
Server is down can't search! Does anyone know the specs for a obd-o pr3 ecu? I have one in my car right now and its only letting me rev to 6500 rpm...Anyone know why?

i could be wasting your time here, but check the ecu to be SURE it's a pr3.

yes it is a pr3. the vtec does kick in. Sometimes when I am just cruising at around 80mph. I get a code 9. would that have anything to do with it? I never get that code if I use my pm6.

Make sure it is not an ECU for an Automatic:

Remove the top cover and it should say "MT"..
If it says AT, that is your problem..

sorry about that, i mess with ecu's all day.
this area is underneath that center bar on the ecu, use the really long chip as a landmark.
u gotta move the resistor at r68 to r67.

So are the fuel maps the same on the ecu that was designed for the automatic?
I have read that there was some difference between the two..

yes, maps different, redline different, and it's got weak cams.
not sure if the vtec point is different?
there was a difference with the valve springs also, auto only has single, but I think that's only with obd1?
