B18A1 swap now code 43?
I swaped a B18a1 out of a 91 teg. I'm using the teg computer ODB0. I got it together and all was good after figuring out a bad main realy. It ran great but smokes alittle. I think it has a stuck ring. The swap was sitting on a garage floor when I bought it. After I had beend driving it awhile I started to get a Check Engine light. I checked codes, it's a 43. I didn't think this was posible. That code wasn't in my book. So I cleared the code and drove it more. It cuts out, but feathering the gas pedal keeps it going. It's like a bad spark plug wire or something. I rechecked the codes and I get 4 slow blinks followed by 3 short ones. I replaced the O2 with a new bosch one. Same thing still. I installed my apexi turbo timer and it has an O2 reader. It's at 20.00 most of the time. on the highway crusing I'm at 15.0-16.9 I'm not sure if this is the problem? Is the O2 reading wrong? Is the smoke causing the O2 to go bad? It's a light smoke not that bad. More so on hard accels. The old O2 wasn't oil fouled looking. And the code came back 1 min after putting in the new O2.
Is a code 43 even possible in an ODB0 ECU?
Thanks for any help
