Default Car is smoking alot!!

I get this huge puff of white smoke when I take off or when I start the car. Especially when I start the car. I think I might not have a spark plug firing. Also the car is idling really hard. Seems to be bogging out. Any ideas??

Yah. one of your pistons is Done for I had the same exact problem on my SOHC D16A6, with the with smoke, idling etc, I did a compression test, it turned out to be that the #3 piston had no compression what so ever, I was running on 3 pistons instead of all 4 so do a compression test, be prepared for the worst, either (replace the piston ring or buy a DOHC )

uh... white smoke= coolant. Headgasket probably has a small leak. Check a compression test.

You could be right also, I forgot about the headgasket ( my bad) It could be your head gasket also, ( hope its the headgasket and not the piston still run a compression check to be on the safe side.

Its not that hard to remove a head and replace the head gasket, but the piston on the other hand

Jpcrx-si, have you checked for oil and water mixture in the radiator or in the rasivor tank? Can you see any oil in it? If so its you headgasket for sure.

now does it happen mainly when the car hasn't been driven? Or will it happen all the time just not as noticeable?

For the bogging.. when was your last tune up? And how does it bog? very high then drops then high again? OR does it slowly die away?
