Default Toda B's and OBD-1 conversion

I plan on getting a full Toda B head pkg. installed in a few months and i was wondering -- is it worth converting my 00 Si to OBD-1 when i do the head? Is it easier to tune with this setup or make more power? I was planning on doing it, but i just wanted to know if it was worthwhile. TIA

Should be worth while. Will enable you to advance/retard timing and chip ecu which could prove useful with this setup among other things.

Or, he also can get the Skunk2 harness to do the conversion though.

The OBD 1 is definitely much easier to reprogram. But they also have slower processing speed. So there are PRO and CON for OBD1 conversion. For me, I would do it and get the Hondata stage 2 program.

If i do the OBD-1 conversion it will be a Kenji harness....

I'm just debating about whether to get a VAFC now and tune it like that and then just go all out and get a PowerFC down the road...thats what i'd really like to do. However, how much hp would i give up in the process by sticking w/ OBD-2?

Decisions, decisions

Get the harness and hondata setup from kenji, then have kenji/john tune it. For hte price of a rechipped ECU, VAFC, dyno tuning, etc. you could do a hondata stage2 with tuning for SLIGHTLY more. It'd be worth it IMO.

Oh yeah, then give me a ride in it sometime when you're done! lol
