Hi i have the feeling my clutch on my hydro JDM Y21 tranny is on its way out. Lately the clutch has felt "lighter" meaning there is less resistance when i push it down. The clutch aint slipping because i parked it and pulled the ebrake up put it in 3rd gear and drop the clutch at 3500rpm and it stalled so i guess its not slipping. Clutch fluid is full and not leaking.

Any suggestions?

 

Maybe its just getting old and wearing out. That does happen. But try bleeding it just in case.

 

Yeah just feels like there is a lot less resistance when i press down the clutch. Kinda gives me an "airy" feeling and im always paranoid that its my clutch blowing up.

 

Just so you know, when your clutch is ready to blow up, it gets harder and harder to shift gears. Then it will go boomy and you won't be able to shift at all. Then you pick the clutch pieces out of the trans.

Your clutch getting lighter might be the pressure plate wearing, but that usually happens so gradually that you can't feel it. Like sack master said, try bleeding it.
