My aem intake filter is getting pretty black and dirty. So I was wondering if anyone really use that special AEM cleaning kit that AEM has for sale? Or if not what other ways can I clean my filter?

 

Just go to a Pep Boys or whatever autoparts store is near you and buy the K&N filter recharger kit. It's like $10 and comes with a cleaner spray and new oil for your filter. AEM's use K&N filters so it's the same ****.

 

yeah its real eazy to clean, just spray the cleaner on it and rince it with water. let t dry then re - oil.. i just did mine... peace...

 

yep, it's not hard. Just remember to run the water from the inside out when rinsing the filter. You want to do this so you don't push the dirt into the filter, it helps to flush the dirt away from the filter.
