Massive Oil Leak 93 Accord SE
Im having a HUGE oil leak in my car. I lost 5 quarts of oil in 2 miles...it all went to the ground. It only leaks oil when the car is on and you can hear it squirt from the back. I checked it out, looks like the leaks comming from the piece between the oil filter and the block. Im guessing blown gasket? Anyone have any experience with this or the F22 motor? Thanks.
sounds like the oil filter housing 0-ring ... go to the dealer buy one (its like less then 6 bucks) then remove the oil filter and at the base of the threads look for the big nut use a socket to remove it and the o-ring is under the housing ..
the only other place that could be leaking that bad would be the balencer shaft seal and if that is what was leaking you would have oil all over your belts and the rear of the engine ...

Happened to me a couple of times.... fortunetly all I had to do was clean up the driveway.....

it was actually the gasket between the block and the oil cooler and all the smoke was comming from the oil that dripped on the headers under the car.
