EBC pad and rotors at PEP Boys???
Has anyone seen this lately? I'm curious if anyone is running the EBC rotors on their teg. They are dimpled (drilled) and slotted. For a DA they were $71 a piece for the front (rear unknown), and pads (greens I think) were $60 a set for the front. I was thinking of taking the plunge, but I want some comments on them first.
i just put EBC green stuff pads on the rear of my 96 RS and I think they definitley out perform my stocks and i'll be putting them on the front saturday so if you can hold out a couple more day i'll et you know how i like them as a complete set.
Pep Boys deals through Keystone Automotive Warehouse which carries a large array of products besides EBC like Hawk, Eagle Specialty, Skunk 2, DC sports, APEXi, and i think they can get all of that from us, errr uh them
http://www.driverfx.com is a retail end website of keystone i think anything there can be purchased at pep boys and many many small non national dealers around which can get momo where pep boys can not...

Mine didn't squeal. Did you use new backing plates anti-squeal compound?
Mine also lasted ~45k+ miles.
I think they are a good upgrade from stock pads, if you atuox you might want to go with something better but they will still do the job.

Do you guys know anything as far as whether or not they are drilled dimples or cast in on the rotors? I may get Brembo's slotted rotors if EBC's are drilled.

Mine never squealed, extremely low dust... but they only lasted 1 year of city driving. They out perform stock by far though. After I installed my OEM pads, I almost rear-ended somebody.
Have you considered the wilwood big brake upgrade for $700?

Drilled or cast dimples!? Come on now, there is no way that will ever make a difference.
Get the blanks and you don't have to worry about such silly things.

well i finished up my ebc pads on the front of my teg so now i have them all the way around and i have know complaints. I drove down to MIR Sunday with no problems. They bite a lot quicker and harder than stocks so for now EBC GREENSTUFF PADS get my vote for any daily driven honda

Drilling a rotor after it has been cast can cause stress fractures and heat risers with extended amounts of abuse...I abuse my brakes regularly, and have had problems with x-drilled rotors warping in the past. Ever read the Grassroots Motorsports article on brakes? It goes on to explain how drilled holes after casting can cause warping and other wonderful brake problems. I would prefer to avoid all of that...that's why I may get the Brembo blanks like you said
.
Takumi Fujiwara- How big of a rim would I need to fit the Wilwood's??? I would love to get them as long as 15"...maybe 16" rims would fit them. 17"s are WAAYYY too big for me. Where did you find it for $700???

Okay then.
Just stick with Autozone rotors for 19.99. Just as affective on the street, many of the RoadRace/Autox forum guys use them.

EBC green stuff are awesome! I put them on my civic with Baer big brake kit. The front took a Corvette pad, and the difference from the pads that came with the Baer kit were so huge. And they also dust a lot less than the other pads!
How can you beat it, great performing pads and less dust!

He was talking about the dimples though, which is different than the holes.
I have never seen a rotor where the holes were cast in. Got a link?

Brembo casts theirs in. I don't have a link, but Grassroots Motorsports did a huge aritcle on brakes and explained the benefits of cast vs. drilled.
Stay away from the ebc products!!!!!!!
I purchase the cross dimple rotors for 20 bucks @ pep boys with the greenstuff pads (liquidation), and they hammered my wheels with dust! and heat up way 2 fast!!!!!!
I got what I paid for, so I cant complain however get the brembo replacment rotors and nissin pads they'll do wonders..

what's this baer big brake kit you speak of? i have extra vette calipers here from my own car. if there was any way to do that conversion the teg's brake fade issues would be solved for good.
