Default How reliable are JUN 3's??

im thinking of getting some soon, but my itr is my daily driver and dont want to compromis the reliability of the car. I know the idle is good but how long will the motor last if i drag at the track once/twice a month.

Type Rs are designed for high-revving, track racing... Shouldn't be a problem.. B18C5's also love all motor...

If they are installed properly they are great cams for a daily driver. Some people don't seem to install them properly or get carried away with cam gear settings, that is when you run into problems. They idle fine, have good mid range and of course good top end. Changing your car's rev limiter to rev to 9000 rpms may have an effect on long term use, but it has nothing to do with the cams ,they are bullet proof.

I have had mine for 20,000 miles, reving it up to 9000 frequently. Just do all of your maint. and you should be fine.

I was told by a good mechanic friend of mine, that with any high lift cams, Valve adjustments should be checked more frequently to make sure it is within specs. especially if driven hard. He suggested checking maybe every other oil change.
